Honouring Lives with Heartfelt Ceremonies

As a dedicated funeral celebrant, I help families craft meaningful ceremonies that truly honour the spirit, personality, and legacy of their loved ones, ensuring a personal and lasting remembrance.

Welcome

Every life tells a story, and every farewell should honour that story with care, dignity, and love. As a funeral celebrant, my role is to support families in creating a ceremony that reflects the true essence of the person being remembered — their values, personality, and the impact they made on those around them.

What I Offer

I work closely with families to design services that feel authentic, comforting, and deeply personal. Together, we can create a ceremony that may include:

  • Personal tributes and stories
  • Readings, poems, or prayers (if desired)
  • Music that holds meaning
  • Space for reflection and remembrance

Whether you wish for something traditional, contemporary, spiritual, or entirely unique, I am here to guide and support you with compassion and sensitivity.

My Approach
Grief is never easy, and planning a farewell can feel overwhelming. My approach is gentle, thoughtful, and centred on listening. I will walk alongside you, offering guidance and reassurance, so that when the day comes, you feel confident that the service truly honours your loved one.

Why Choose a Celebrant
A celebrant-led funeral provides flexibility and freedom. It allows the ceremony to be shaped by the life lived, not just by tradition. This means the farewell can be as unique as the person themselves.

Reviews

Mrs S. S.

“I just wanted to thank you for yesterday you made his funeral service so personal it was like you knew him and so many of my family and friends commented on how lovely you were. Everyone said what a beautiful service it was and the day went just perfectly and it was lovely to feel I did him proud.”

Mrs K.M.

“We had a lot of compliments about the service and that is in no small part down to you.  We felt it was a celebration of mum’s life and that was just what she would have wanted.  The eulogy felt like you knew mum, thank you.”

C.S. and S.W.

“Mum’s eulogy and service was beautiful.  The sunshine helped a lot, but mainly down to your hard work.”

Mr and Mrs M. C.

“It is always a difficult time when a relative passes and following the death of my 99year old aunt, the funeral directors put us in touch with Lynn. At first, I was thinking that “how could this person do a good job when they never met my Aunt” How wrong I was!!

Lynn booked a Zoom call with my wife and I and right from the start, she put us at ease. The call lasted 1 hour and then Lynn went away to write a Eulogy. When she came back to us with a draft, it was very clear that Lynn was 100% capturing my Aunt – her compassion, her sensitivity, her humour and her love. We went through several drafts arriving at a final Eulogy that Lynn read at the Crematorium Service – it was beautiful and did my Aunt proud

We were delighted with Lynn’s involvement and remain in touch if she ventures to our area.”

Mr M. M.

“Lynn is a brilliant Celebrant, from the first meeting I knew she was the right person.

She immediately had an amazing perception and understanding of who my Mum was, I did not need to provide very much details for her to craft a brilliant Eulogy.

Lynn guided me through the preparation for the service, compassionately dealing with every detail and helping to suggest music/prayers/poems.

During the service I was amazed at how beautifully she conducted it and her words were nothing short of magical. You can fully trust her to take care of your service, I very much appreciate everything she did for us.”

Ms K H

Ms S H and Mr T L

“You made the difference in helping us through this process.” “Thank you for coming to Dad’s event, and for all your help in advance – I was at something of a loss with the organisation and eulogy, and you helped us to be able to focus on all the lovely people who came.”

Mrs F B

“Just to thank you for a beautiful personal service for our P yesterday, you could not have done any better, we were blessed that we chose a female celebrant and we got you. I hope you continue to bring comfort and warmth to bereaved family members and friends.”

About Me

I became a celebrant because I believe every life deserves to be honoured with warmth, dignity, and authenticity.

With a background in education and public service, I bring both professionalism and compassion to every service. I have been told that my calm and caring nature helps bring comfort during what can feel like an overwhelming time.

When I’m not working as a celebrant, I find joy in walking in the countryside, playing my ukulele and reading a good book. These small moments remind me why it is so important to celebrate life well — and why I feel so honoured to do the work I do.
